Rustic Quirky Lighting for a Punjabi Culture-Themed Eatery.

Updated: Jan 25, 2023

The design idea of the eatery involved the glorification of the old world charm of the punjabi culture fused with mouth watering taste of the undivided punjab. The spices scale across borders with dishes pandering to the tastes of every household of the Great Indian North. The proposed idea involved rustic and bucolic design elements that set in a very warm and likable atmosphere, suiting the flamboyance of the colors of the north.

ANTIQUE EDISON BULBS ON THE SEE THROUGH WINDOW

Nothing beats the charm of a rustic pair of round flask filament bulbs. Powering through cotton braided wires, through an antique brass holder. The Antique bulbs give out a great countrified impression suiting the design idea of the eatery.

LONG ARM DOMEHEAD WITH BRASS FINISH LIGHTING UP THE TABLES

The longarm dome head in conical shape, lights up the table in an absolutely proper way but still keeps up with the bucolic charm and the rustic design idea.

The long arm stretches out its reach right above the table and illuminates the area as a primary source of task as well ambient lighting.

CUSTOM-DESIGNED HOOP& BRASS WALL LIGHT WITH TRADITIONAL IKKAT FABRIC

One of the very exciting designs of wall lights we've got a chance to create. The whole idea was to create a very earthy yet elegant design and also keep in mind the rustic inclination of the whole place.

The Fabric used is ikkat fabric which is a hand-woven fabric and is also termed a cultural artifact for many east asian, southeast asian, middle eastern and european civilisations.

The use of two embroidery loops surrounding the intricate filaments of the antique edison bulb. The bulbs are being powered through an antique brass holder with fixtures all made from pure brass.

The embroidery loops are held by careful hand-woven ikkat fabric. The design of the fabric is carefully selected suitably according to the design inclination and the punjabi culture theme of the eatery.

The fabric designed brings out the detailing and also the design element of the place which suits the vibe of the place even when it is not lit. A special thanks to S.B.B. Design house who was kind enough in helping us source this fabric..

The whole idea of the eatery is based on punjabi culture and its old world charm. Elements like the punjabi language and rustic furniture is backed up by the foundation of cottage style and rustic lighting.

With usage of earthy elements like ikkat fabric, cotton braided wires to the rustic charm of the dome head metal pendants and intricate filament bulbs the whole place is lit up in uniformity of the proposed idea.
